Terms & Conditions of booking.
Do I have to book in advance?
Yes please. You can do that by going to our Book Now page. Full advance payment is required to book a space. You will receive booking confirmation by email.
The meeting point is not on your website, how do I find it?
Once you have booked your tour, and have paid, we email you with the time and meeting place details. Each tour is unique, we keep the venues secret and change the meeting points to suit.
How long does the tour last and how much walking is involved?
The tour lasts around 3 hours, during which the group will walk at a casual pace between several venues. Delays may happen for various reasons so please keep this in mind when you’re planning something straight after the tour. Sometimes the tours go on longer just because we are having fun.
How many people will be on the tour?
It is a small group tour with a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 18 people.
In the unlikely event that less than 6 people are booked 72 hours before the tour, it will be cancelled and tickets refunded or offered an alternative date or time..
How much food is included?
You will visit 3 venues tasting great food and wine at each stop.
So don’t eat before the tour, as you won’t leave us hungry!
Do you charge a booking fee to book online?
No, there are no hidden extras!
What is your cancellation policy?
All bookings are non-refundable. Refunds can take up to 30 days if from the date of request. Irish Food Trail cannot under any circumstance provide refunds or alternative dates for no-shows.
What happens if I arrive late?
Unfortunately we cannot delay the group if you arrive late, nor can we wait for you. If you manage to catch up with us, you won’t be refunded for any missed tastings.
Can I book a private tour or a tour for a group of friends?
Yes we would love to hear from you contact us info@irishfoodtrail.ie. We can do private or group tours any day of the week, morning or afternoon. All group sizes are catered for.
If we purchase a gift voucher, do we have to nominate a date?
No, you can buy gift vouchers and the recipient can just contact us and book a date that suits them.
Do you cater for vegetarians or gluten free?
Yes, we cater for all dietary requirements, please let us know in advance. Food allergies: it may be wise to email us at info@irishfoodtrail.ie before you book your space. We will try our best to accommodate your needs but it is not guaranteed that we can do so.
Is the tour appropriate for infants/children?
The tour is designed for adults and involves alcohol and strong flavours. A 3 hour walking tour of Dublin with food, wine, beer and culture may not be your child’s cup of tea/coffee.
The drinking age in Ireland is 18 years and over, if you are unfortunate to look any younger you might be asked for ID. Please take this as a compliment!
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Please contact us before booking to ensure there are wheelchair friendly venues available on the tour on your preferred date. We will do our best to accommodate.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour will run through all weather conditions. It’s Ireland so please be prepared!. Umbrellas, rain coat and sun cream are all strongly recommended. Tours won’t be cancelled in case of bad weather as the tours are mainly indoors. Its Ireland bring your armbands!
