Top 5 Dublin Food Markets
Every week Dublin streets come alive with food markets. Popping up in various places at various times, it’s hard to keep track of where to go first.  With so many to choose from we have a look at some of our favourites for you to check out this spring!
Temple Bar Food Market
Every Saturday from 10.30am to 4.30pm you can find the Temple Bar Food Market hidden away in Meeting House Square. If the weather is appalling you need not worry, Meeting House Square comes complete with giant umbrellas to keep you sheltered. We recommend trying the Dublin Bay Oysters from the Temple Oyster Bar, heavenly!
Howth Market
Open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 5pm is the Howth Market. A short journey on the DART will bring you to the fishing village of Howth. As to be expected, fresh fish appears in many stalls, but we keep coming back for meat served at the Irish BBQ stall. With meat sourced from local artisan producers, the Irish BBQ stall is all about quality! Be sure to drop by.
People’s Park Market, Dun Laoghaire
Get on the Dart going the opposite direction from Howth to arrive in Dublin’s other seaside town of Dun Laoghaire. Every Sunday from 11am to 4pm in the People’s Park you’ll find a wonderful food market. Keep your eyes peeled for Truffle Fairy, these chocolatiers use only locally sourced organic produce in creating their award winning chocolate!
The Station Buildings, Hatch Street Upper
Located one Luas stop from St. Stephens Green is the Station Buildings Food Market open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am. The small space is ram packed with stalls, so we suggest popping out and going around the corner to the Iveagh Gardens where you can have an impromptu picnic! For award winning street food, head to The Paella Guys and be prepared to queue!
Smithfield Outdoor Food Market
The ancestral home of street markets in Dublin, you can join in the Smithfield Outdoor Food Market from 11am to 3pm every Friday. Be sure to drop by the Cupcake Bloke to examine one of the trendiest global foods – Cupcakes! Get your fill and drop into the Cobblestone Pub after to enjoy the best traditional Irish music in Dublin.
